This place is great it only costs 5$ to park and that's it to enjoy all it has to offer all day. it's got a spray pad, a nice little sandy swimming area, and paddle boats. It would be just the ideal place for an afternoon BBQ on a hot day. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 star rating is because everyone knows what a great place it is and it is CRAZY crowded!

A nice place to picnic and hang out for the day with kids. A 20 minute drive from Portland, lots of parking and lots of spaces to explore. We came on a Sunday in the summer, so there were several parties going on, including a few large company picnics and it still didn't feel over crowded. They have a splash pad, several play structure areas, a natural play area with large driftwood the kids can use to build, a discovery garden, and the lake to swim in (2 older kids were swimming while we were there). Plenty of picnic tables in the shade were available. Bathrooms were clean and there are paved paths for accessibility,

I absolutely adore this place! There is so much open space with picnic tables under covered areas where you can host your own birthday parties. There's also a small water place for children where they can run through sprinkler shaped structures that spray water! (The Water is kind of cold though.) But the best part is the actual lake, even though there is only a small portion available to the public it is still its most popular attraction and its most enjoyable one. After getting a swim there are bathrooms and places to get a quick rinse.

Like this place but they need to add a few more splash pads. We have been to a couple parties here and literally have to walk the whole park to get to the splash pad. I myself don't mind but alot of parents left because they just went home and played in the water because it was closer. Maybe also install canopies over the party areas for shade and in case it starts to rain. Other than that I would not swim in the lake or let me kids in it. Their filter system does not work well and the water is nasty. Like the disc golf course but could be more manicured and maintained.

Went to Blue Lake for the first time yesterday. Loved it! The park was clean, the garbage cans were emptied the night before, the restrooms had obviously just been cleaned and were cleaned often. There are a ton of picnic tables, but get there early because it fills up. You could swim, fish, paddle boat, play in the splash pad or on a playground. Walking trails. A great place for a family to spend the day.
